Laura Linney is an American actress who is well-known for her performance of powerful but fragile characters. After spending the summers with her father's business, Laura Linney became fascinated with the theatre. After that she attended Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. Her career began on Broadway soon after graduation, she made her debut on film in just two years. She also appeared on TV in the year after. Since then, she has appeared involved in numerous films, television productions and stage shows. Her nominations include three Academy Awards, five Tony Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and has won numerous awards throughout her time on the stage. Although she has received numerous awards, she still loves the theatre, and has appeared on both screen and stage.
