Zazie O. Beetz was conceived in Berlin on November 21 1991. Her father is a German cabinet maker who emigrated into the United States in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and her mother is a South Africa-American social worker from New York. Jennifer Aniston is also a former student of the same high school. After completing her studies at LaGuardia, Beetz went on to complete her studies in French at Skidmore College. She began auditioning immediately after graduating college. In Atlanta, she landed the part of Van. She was born in Berlin to the parents of a German father as well as an African-American mom, Beetz was born on the streets of New York speaking both German and English in the her home. Zazie has performed in theaters within the community as well as on stage in New York since her childhood. Zazie discovered that she enjoyed acting while in high school. Zendaya's Disney Channel Breakout role Zendaya's dancing skills paid off. She was finally cast in her breakthrough role as Rocky Blue, along with co-star Bella Thorne, on the popular series Shake It Up. Zendaya went vegetarian at the age of eleven after passing by a killinghouse together with her dad on a roadtrip. She tells PEOPLE, "I thought it was horrible to see all the animals being stuffed and waiting to be killed. It was shocking to think that's the way I'd been getting my food!" Since then, she has been on an all-vegan diet.
