Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was lived in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest of seven children. Her father was serving in U.S. service in Italy. Adams began performing and dancing professionally in the mid-1990s with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later The Country Dinner Playhouse. When she moved to Minnesota where she was a part of a mock-documentary film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) which focused on beauty contests. When she made her screen debut as a charming but snarky contestant, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. From June 1951 until September of 1962, she was married with actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in mid- 1940s, after she was accepted by MGM. The actress was discovered by Norma Shearer. The actress portrayed Norma in various popular films throughout the years, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho from 1960 and Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film that was released in the year 1954.
